CALL FOR ENTRIES: 2002 EXCELLENCE IN ARCHITECTURE AWARDS PROGRAM

The AIA Fort Worth Excellence in Architecture Awards program seeks to recognize design excellence by its members and students, and to promote public interest in architectural excellence.

Eligibility

Eligibility is limited to members of the Fort Worth AIA Chapter or students currently enrolled in accredited Texas colleges or universities.

Entries must be submitted by the architectural design firm, and the design submission must be primarily executed in an office within the jurisdiction of the Fort Worth AIA Chapter. Where one Architect is not the sole author, all participants substantially contributing to the design of the project must be given credit.

All entries must have been designed or constructed within the last five years. An individual or a firm may enter any number of projects within each of the project types. For multi-building projects, the Architect submitting the project (or portion thereof) shall designate the authorship of each portion of the project. The Design Awards Committee reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with the eligibility requirements. Fort Worth Chapter AIA does not accept responsibility for errors in submission.

Awards

All projects will be evaluated on excellence in design, regardless of project size, budget, type or location. The jurors are charged to make such awards as they recognize and deem proper. Awards may include the following:

Honor Award
Merit Award
Student Award (Two $500.00 Scholarship Awards will be given in the Student Award Category.)

A maximum of 20 slides is allowed per submittal. Name of the project and the Architect shall remain anonymous during the jury; do not include any identification in the slides. Any project may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the jury if the submission does not completely describe the total project.
