The following honors and awards were
presented December 6th at the Annual Chapter Gala and Celebration of
Architecture:

James R. Wooten Service Award
Awarded annually to the member who best
exemplifies the characteristics of consistent and effective service in
accomplishing the goals of the chapter.
This year's award was presented to James
Nader, AIA for his tireless years of service to AIA Fort Worth. Not
only has James served numerous positions on the Executive Committee,
including Chapter President in 1998, but he has chaired and served on many
committees over the years. James will serve his third year in 2002 as the
AIA chair for the Annual AIA/CSI Golf Tournament.
He served on the AIA Practice Management
PIA from 1995-2000, serving as chairman in 1999. James was a Vice
President of TSA in 2001 and will serve as the TSA Treasurer for
2002-2003. James, and Nader Design Group, supports the architectural
profession and continues to serve AIA Fort Worth in an exemplary manner.

Quality In Construction Award
Established to recognize and honor a person
or group for their persistence in the search for quality and fine work,
not simply competent execution; but work which comes from excellent
judgment, dexterity and care in the process.
The recipient was JBM Builders, Inc.
for their consistent quality of work in the construction industry.

President's Award
Established to recognize and honor a person
or group in the community for their support of the chapter.
Awards were presented to:

Frank W. Neal & Associates for consistent support of AIA Fort
Worth over many years: participating as presenters in the A.R.E. seminar
series, CANSTRUCTION Teams, and numerous other chapter activities. |
Hemant Bhave, AIA for years of
service to the chapter as webmaster and his commitment and assistance to
AIAFW with internet and web activities. |
