CANSTRUCTION 2000 CONTRIBUTES 45,509 LBS OF FOOD TO TARRANT AREA FOOD BANK !!

As Olivia Eudaly of the Tarrant Area Food Bank said, "Hold onto your hats and boots and all things Texan and get ready for this: You and you alone (the 13 CANSTRUCTION teams) brought in a total of 45, 509 pounds of food. Can you believe it? " To help put this in perspective, we are told this amount is half of the annual letter carriers can food drive which solicits food from all areas of the metroplex.

The second year of this event proved to AIAFW and SDAFW that we have a real winner. The enthusiasm of the teams: their hard work in designing, soliciting food, canstructing and decanstructing…...was just unbelievable. We hope that chapter members not involved with a participating team found their way to Ridgmar Mall to see what was accomplished.
